Understand the graph before you crochet

CrochetGraphLab keeps the domain choices visible: one cell is one colorwork stitch, stitch gauge and row gauge are independent, and you confirm the first worked edge.

Measure gauge

Crochet a swatch with the yarn, hook and Single Crochet stitch you intend to use. Measure the center, then count stitches across and rows high. Enter both measurements and both swatch dimensions.

Compare two preview shapes

Square chart view makes cells easy to edit. Finished-proportion view stretches each on-screen cell using your independent stitch and row gauge, so it better represents the expected fabric shape.

Confirm Row 1

Right- and left-handed presets are convenient starting points, not universal rules. Confirm whether rows are read bottom-up or top-down and whether Row 1 starts at the left or right edge.
